Before Your Appointment…

Appointment Prep for Neuromodulators & Dermal Fillers

  • Avoid taking blood thinning agents such as alcohol, ibuprofen, aspirin, naproxen, advil etc. (unless otherwise instructed by your medical practitioner) for 24 hours prior to appointment, as these increase your risk of bruising

    • Notify your injector if you are taking prescription blood thinners

  • Avoid any treatments that may irritate the skin in the area you wish to have treated (ex: hair removal, chemical peels, deep exfoliation, laser, etc)

  • Come with clean skin if possible (make-up remover is available if needed)

  • Schedule your appointment at least 2 weeks prior to a special event (4 weeks is preferred, especially if it is your first time receiving neuromodulators or fillers)

  • Inform your injector of any past neuromodulator or dermal filler treatments

  • Notify your injector if you have been feeling unwell or have any history of cold sores (please reschedule if you have open lesions)
